Parents if are visiting Lake Placid give your children this great expirence.
Get your kids to love the sport of fishing!!!!!!!!!
Fly fish the Adirondacks Guide Service provides light spin fishing trips for children with accompanying parent. Majority of the fishing will take place on small lakes, ponds, and still water reservoirs, from either shore or from a boat equipped with an outboard engine. The method of fishing will be bait fishing and lure fishing, your children have the opportunities to catch small mouth bass, perch, sunfish, and other warm water fishes. All rods, reels, tackle, life preservers and bait are supplied by the guide. With boating trips, the wearing of a life preserver is enforced.
Your child will learn how to cast a spinning rod, detect strikes, hook setting , how to bait the hook, how to safely unhook and release fish and how to identify warm water species of fish. The use of barbless hooks are employed to promote a catch and release policy.
Pictured below is Levi with a smallmouth bass that he caught and released .
Levi also caught and released this northern pike.

Great trip! Sean loved it – " Dad that was AWESOME !!! " First thing he told his grandparents when we got back was about the fishing trip – detail by detail. It was fun watching him give lessons to his younger brother later when we were fishing at Mirror lake. Caught 6 perch – but Sean keeps talking about the “big” northern pike that got away.
Thanks again for a good time and you can expect to see us again next year!
